Chandigarh, Sept. 4 -- A A 27-year-old woman, wife of a Chandigarh Police sub-inspector (SI), has been arrested in connection with a road accident in Mauli Jagran on August 31 that claimed the life of a 62-year-old cyclist and injured a motorcyclist. Identified as Sapna Bhardwaj, a resident of Sector 17, Panchkula, the accused was later released on bail. Her car hit a biker, Dimple Kumar, from behind before hitting Ram Shankar, who was riding a bicycle, police said. Shankar, 62, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. Police have seized her car.
