Sangrur, July 8 -- Two youths lost their lives after they were attacked by a group inside a salon at Kakkarwal Chowk in Dhuri town of Sangrur district on Tuesday, police said. The deceased have been identified as Dev Kumar, 23, and Anil Kumar, 30. Dhuri deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Gurpreet Singh said the deceased were friends who had an ongoing rivalry with another group. According to the DSP, they were inside a salon when five to six youths attacked them, causing critical injuries. Both were rushed to the local government hospital where they were declared dead during treatment. A murder case has been registered and more sections will be added after the post-mortem and medical reports are received, the DSP said, adding that a search operation has been initiated to locate the suspects. A few suspects have been identified through the CCTV footage, and efforts are underway to apprehend them as soon as possible, the police said....
