two juveniles held for killing teen in Maloya
Chandigarh, Jan. 22 -- Police have nabbed two minors for allegedly stabbing a 19-year-old to death in Maloya on Tuesday night.
As per the police, around 9 pm on Tuesday, they received information about a Maloya resident, later identified as Mohit, 18, being admitted to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) with stab wounds. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
His brother, Sandeep, told police that Mohit had been getting threats from one of the juveniles hailing from Mohali. On Tuesday, Mohit was standing with his cousin when the juvenile, along with his friends, attacked him with a knife. A case was subsequently registered at the Maloya police station. The juveniles have been sent to the Juvenile Justice Board in Sector-25. Officials said that others allegedly involved in the crime have also been identified and will be nabbed soon. The knife used in the crime has been recovered....
