Bhubaneswar, Sept. 23 -- Two people travelling to a popular shiva shrine in Odisha's Dhenkanal district were allegedly stopped and assaulted by a group of men, with a video of the incident surfacing days after a similar attack in Bihar, police said on Tuesday, adding that two people have been detained. The incident took place on September 18 on the Kapilash-Tangi road in Dhenkanal district but it came to light only on Monday after the footage went viral. The video shows the 26-year-old man, a resident of Cuttack, being verbally abused and allegedly assaulted by a group of men. It also showed some men behaving inappropriately towards the woman.
