Two elderly women found dead at home
New Delhi, May 29 -- Decomposed bodies of two elderly women were found at their house in central Delhi's New Rajinder Nagar on Thursday morning, police said, adding that they are yet to ascertain exact cause of deaths.
DCP (central) Rohit Rajbir Singh said that the deceased were identified as Chandra Kanta, 85, and her sister-in-law Saroj Bala, 80, who had been living in their ground floor home for decades. Police were alerted about "a foul smell" from the house by a cleaner of the deceased, said officials.
Both the women relied on their pension for livelihood and had no children, they added.
No foul play has come to the fore during preliminary inspection and enquiry from neighbours however, all possible angles are being examined, the police said. Both the bodies were sent to the RML Hospital for an autopsy. "Further legal action will be taken accordingly," Singh said. HTC...
