Three-day table tennis tourney concludes at Shemrock School
Mohali, June 1 -- The three-day 1st Kabir Bajwa Memorial Table Tennis Tournament 2026 concluded with highly thrilling and fiercely contested final matches at the sports complex of Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, Mohali.
In this tournament, teams from 7 renowned schools of the Tricity and surrounding regions vied for the championship trophy. In the Under-14 (Boys) final, players from Learning Paths School displayed outstanding aggressive gameplay to defeat Vivek High School Chandigarh in a one-sided 3-0 match, clinching the first 'Kabir Bajwa Memorial' championship trophy. Meanwhile, in the Under-12 (Girls) category, the host Shaimrock School Mohali girls showcased brilliant coordination on court to secure a magnificent victory by defeating Paragon School 3-0.
The Under-12 (Boys) match played between Shaimrock School and Vivek School was a closely fought battle. Riding on their superior services, Vivek School won the match 3-1. In the play-off for the third position in the Under-14 (Boys) category, Vivek School defeated Shaimrock School 3-0 to secure the bronze medal. Registering a strong presence in every category, the school secured the 'Overall Runner-Up' (second position) in both the Under-12 Girls and Under-14 Girls categories, while bagging the third spot in the Under-12 Boys division....
