India, July 19 -- Not too long ago, going vegan in India often meant settling for limited menus, bland substitutes, and constantly explaining your food choices. Today, the picture looks very different.
From cafes to fine-dining restaurants, dedicated vegan menus and innovative plant-based offerings - desserts to global cuisines - are becoming increasingly common, reflecting a growing appetite for conscious eating. According to Grand View Research's 2026 report, India's vegan food market is now valued at over $1.1 billion (approx Rs.9,300 crore). Celebrity nutritionist Kinita Kadakia Patel says, "People are moving away from restrictive diets and focusing on long-term health. They want more energy, better digestion, and overall well-being. A well-planned plant-based diet can support all of that while still being enjoyable and satisfying."...
