India, April 4 -- As the press tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2 gathers pace, a nostalgic fashion moment has taken centre stage. Actor Meryl Streep, who played the inimitable Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada (2006), recently revisited an iconic look from the original film, the cerulean blue sweater once worn by Anne Hathaway's character Andrea Sachs.
Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday, Streep instantly grabbed attention in her cerulean cable-knit sweater from J.Crew. When Stephen Colbert asked, "So that's no Annie blue?", she replied, "No, that's cerulean, cerulean blue," echoing the film's legendary monologue. Streep accessorised the look with a pair of chunky, blue-framed glasses and silver hoops. A few days earlier, Anne herself had teased the moment on Instagram, wearing a cerulean Pantone sweatshirt with the caption: "#CeruleanBlue has entered the chat."
