PATNA, July 27 -- Former Bihar minister and Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav, son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, was sent to 14-day judicial custody on Sunday, hours after his arrest for allegedly "inciting" protesters during agitation against NEET paper leak in Patna, police said. The Bihar bandh call was given by Left organisations such as the All India Student Association (AISA). Shortly after his arrest, Patna police produced Yadav before a judicial magistrate, who sent him to 14-day jail. Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma said Yadav was arrested on charges of rioting and accused of provoking demonstrators. "I am with the students and ready to die for their rights," Yadav said at the protest site. Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap's brother and RJD working president said, "My big brother has been arrested wrongfully, and booked under false charges."...
