India, Oct. 5 -- A fire broke out at veteran ghazal singer-actor Talat Aziz's residence in Mumbai's Juhu on Friday, reportedly following a short circuit. The 69-year-old veteran singer, his wife Bina, and other family members were rushed to the hospital after they complained of suffocation. He now says the family is safe despite the "close call". He says, "The fire spread through the house within minutes. The house is now unlivable until it gets restored. Bina, who was trapped in the bedroom upstairs, was rescued through the bathroom window," adding, "We are safe but had a close call. We're trying to process what happened. I'm touched by the love from friends and industry colleagues who've been calling me."...
