India, July 20 -- On Saturday, Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi turned into an Ayodhya-inspired setting for the trailer launch of Nitesh Tiwari and Namit Malhotra's Ramayana Part 1, complete with a palace-like stage and regional cuisine. The evening's most nostalgic moment came when Arun Govil, remembered as Ram from Ramanand Sagar's TV hit Ramayan, stood alongside Ranbir Kapoor, who plays the role in the new film. Paying tribute to Govil, Ranbir said, "Bachpan se Bhagwan Shri Ram ka aashirwad, unki seekh aur aapka chehra dil mein rakhkar bada hua hoon." Govil then revealed that he will play King Dashrath, bringing his association with the epic full circle. Sunny Deol, who plays Hanuman, and Yash, who essays Ravana, made surprise appearances. Ravie Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh and Kunal Kapoor, who play Lakshman, Surpanakha and Lord Indra, respectively, were also present, while sitarist Rishab Rikhiram Sharma announced his Bollywood debut with the film's music....
