Chandigarh, Aug. 21 -- St Xavier's Senior Secondary School hosted its annual investiture ceremony today with great solemnity and grandeur. The event marked the official constitution of the prefect council for the academic year 2026-27, where student leaders were formally vested with their powers and responsibilities. The additional principal, Chandan S Patwal, formally introduced the newly elected a student council to the assembly. A total of 55 student leaders from Classes 10, 11, and 12 pledged to serve the institution with dedication, integrity, and honour. The principal, Ivorine Castellas, pinned badges onto the young leaders, officially welcoming them into the council. The newly formed prefect body comprises 8 core leaders, 13 senior prefects, 16 house captains, and 18 junior prefects. The apex leadership positions for the academic year 2026-27 were conferred upon the following students: school captains: Kritika Sharma, 12B and Rudraksh Sharma, 12A; school vice captains: Priyansha, 12A and Tanish Kundu, 12A; sports captains: Simran, 12B and Aariv Mahajan, 12A; sports vice captains: Manjot Kaur Dhandli, 11B and Manraj Singh Tiwana, 12B. Additionally, 16 house captains from Class 10 were inducted to lead their respective houses. Speaking on the occasion, the principal, Ivorine Castellas, congratulated the newly appointed council.
