St Jude's Convent School hosts two-day annual sports meet
Nakodar, Sept. 17 -- St Jude's Convent School, Nakodar, successfully organised its 49th annual sports meet, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork and healthy competition among its students. The two-day (September 14 and 15) sporting extravaganza witnessed enthusiastic participation by students and featured a vibrant combination of athletic events, team games and cultural presentations. The first day of the sports meet began with the formal declaration of the event open by the chief guest, Jagjit Singh Saroya (AIG-ANTF) and Mandeep Singh Atwal (former wrestler). The day featured various field events, in which students from different categories participated with great enthusiasm and determination. The young athletes displayed their talent, confidence, discipline and competitive spirit, making the sporting arena lively and energetic.
The second day witnessed exciting team games, including kho-kho, volleyball and cricket, with matches organised for junior and senior boys and girls.
The occasion was attended by the presence of Punjab Police officials, with chief guest Palwinder Singh, station house officer (SHO), Nakodar Rural, leading the delegation.
