Panchkula, Aug. 14 -- Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, Solitaire International School, Sector-20, organised a week-long special assembly depicting the remarkable journey of India's freedom struggle. The assembly took students through the major milestones that shaped the nation's path to independence, beginning with the revolt of 1857, followed by the formation of the Indian National Congress, partition of bengal and the Swadeshi Movement, Non-Cooperation Movement, Dandi March and Salt Satyagraha, Civil Disobedience Movement, Quit India Movement and finally the attainment of Independence on August 15, 1947. Through engaging presentations, enactments, speeches and historical narratives, students brought alive the spirit of the various movements and highlighted the courage, unity, sacrifice and determination that defined India's freedom struggle.
