Six years, 15kg and one baby later: Masaba Gupta says she no longer recognises herself

ashion designer Masaba Gupta on Thursday shared a post on Instagram reflecting on her six-year fitness journey, which included losing 15 kg and going through pregnancy and motherhood. The 36-year-old said the process changed her mentally and physically, adding that "being fit is the greatest gift you give yourself."
Sharing photographs from 2020 to her current post-pregnancy phase, Masaba wrote, "I don't recognise myself from 2020 or even from when I was pregnant. mentally and physically. And that's great news."
Masaba, who welcomed daughter Matara with actor Satyadeep Misra in October 2024, said her fitness journey was gradual and took six years. "Six years, 15 kg and one baby later, I'll tell you - being fit is the greatest gift you give yourself. Slow and steady. The only way I know," she wrote.
Masaba's post drew attention online for speaking openly about long-term fitness and body changes after pregnancy at a time when quick weight-loss trends dominate social media. Instead of focusing on instant transformation, she spoke about consistency and gradual change.
The designer has earlier spoken about dealing with PCOS, now referred to as PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome), and how hormonal changes affect fitness and weight management.
