Chandigarh, Sept. 21 -- Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22-D celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great devotion and festive fervour from September 14 to 16. The sthapana of Lord Ganesha was held on September 14 by director Rakesh Khorana and Amita Khorana with traditional rituals, chanting of mantras and offering of modaks. Teachers participated wholeheartedly in both morning and evening aartis. The celebration spread an aura of unity, blessings, togetherness and goodness throughout the campus. Students and staff sought blessings of Lord Ganesha for wisdom, prosperity and success. The grand Visarjan was held on September 16 with chants of "Ganpati Bappa Morya" echoing in the air. Principal Aarti Malhotra said, "May Lord Ganesha bless our children with knowledge, values and the strength to overcome all obstacles....
