Ambala, Sept. 7 -- Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Vivek Branch Ambala, organised the Guru Vandan Chhatra Abhinandan ceremony at The SD Vidya School, Ambala Cantt, on the occasion of Teachers' Day, honouring teachers for their contribution and felicitating students for academic excellence. The programme was attended by Suresh Sharma, state secretary, BVP; Ashok Kakkar, president, Vivek Shakha; Ravinder Sharma, sampark pramukh; and Anil Taneja, sanskar pramukh, BVP. The programme began with a Hindi poem dedicated to teachers, presented by Prachi Sonker of Class 10. The students took an oath to stay away from intoxicants and discourage others from using them, reinforcing the message of healthy and responsible living. Preeti Sharma received the best teacher award for securing the highest subject average. Shivansh Saxena, Class 10 topper for the academic session 2025-26, with an impressive 97.4%, was also felicitated for his outstanding performance.
