Panchkula, Aug. 24 -- An impactful legal awareness session for Grades 9 and 10 at Satluj Public School, Sector 4 transformed the classroom into a space where law met life, and awareness became empowerment. The session was conducted by the district legal services authority, Panchkula, under the guidance of chief judicial magistrate Ajay Kumar Ghanghas, with resource person and pro-bono advocate Megha Sharma. Students explored vital aspects of the POCSO Act, cyber and online safety, responsible social media behaviour, stranger awareness and personal security. The discussion went beyond information-it encouraged students to think, question, recognise risks and respond wisely. Students were also made aware of the Child Helpline 1098, reinforcing an important message. Reekrit Serai, managing director, Satluj Group of Schools, while proposing the vote of thanks, appreciated the enlightening interaction and emphasised the importance of equipping young minds with knowledge of their rights, responsibilities and personal safety.
