Chandigarh/Gurugram, Sept. 12 -- Haryana's striking sanitation workers ended their 37-day statewide agitation on Friday after reaching an agreement with the state government. The strike, which began on August 6, had brought municipal cleanliness and garbage collection services to a complete standstill. Following negotiations with chief minister Nayab Singh Saini and cabinet ministers, the Nagar Palika Karmchari Sangh agreed to resume duties.
