Saint Soldier School athletes shine at north district athletics championship
Chandigarh, Feb. 18 -- Saint Soldier International School, proudly celebrates the outstanding performance of its students at the North District athletics championship 2025-26, held at the Sports Complex, Sector 7, organised by the Chandigarh Athletics Association.
The school athletes delivered an excellent performance by winning a total 17 medals, including nine gold, two silver, and six bronze in various track and field events.
Ashwin Rao (Class 10) won a gold medal in the 600 m race. Kush Dahiya (Class 9) secured a gold medal in pentathlon and a silver medal in the 60 m race. Shresth (Class 10) bagged a bronze in the 600 m race, while Sakshi (Class 10) secured a gold medal in Shotput. Diya (Class 8) brought home a silver medal in javelin throw.
Tanveer Kaur (Class 7) secured a bronze medal in the triathlon event consisting of 60 m, 600 m, and long jump in the U-14 category.
In team events, the school achieved remarkable success in relay races.
The 4x100 relay team comprising Ashwin, Kush, Dinkar, and Madhav won the gold medal, while the 4x100 mixed relay team comprising Ashwin, Kush, Diya, Dinkar, and Aarya secured the bronze medal.
Yashveer won a gold medal in the 4x100 mixed relay in the U-12 category.
The accompanying teachers, Rajveer Kaur and Surinder Pal Singh, also participated in the event, where Kaur won a silver medal in Javelin throw (35+ category) and Singh won a gold medal in the 3000 m race walk (35+ category).
