saini: Skill devp centres will shape state's next generation
ROHTAK, Aug. 14 -- Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday said skill development centres would play a crucial role in preparing the state's youth for a rapidly changing world of technology, employment and entrepreneurship.
Inaugurating the regional skill development centre (RSDC) at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal, in Sonipat, the chief minister said the facility would strengthen the connection between students and industry and equip them with practical skills required by the modern workplace.
"The youth of Haryana should not be spectators but protagonists of this technological transformation," Saini said, stressing the need to make young people job creators rather than merely job seekers.
Saini also presented Excellence Awards to meritorious scholars and teachers of the university and visited the skill centre's laboratory, where he interacted with students. On this occasion Saini also described the collaboration involving VE Commercial Vehicles-Volvo Group and Eicher Motors as an important bridge between industry and academia....
