India, Sept. 27 -- Singer Sabrina Carpenter and actor Margaret Qualley have joined British actor Tom Holland in the upcoming biopic on legendary American dancer and actor Fred Astaire. Holland will play Astaire in this Paul King directorial. Qualley, known forThe Substance and Maid, will play Astaire's elder sister Adele, who was also his first dance partner. Carpenter, a Grammy-winning singer and actor, will play Ginger Rogers, Astaire's famous dance partner in several Hollywood musicals, Variety reported. Fred and Adele began performing together on Broadway and London's West End before Fred moved to Hollywood. He later became one of cinema's most celebrated dancers, particularly for his films with Rogers. The film is based on The Astaires: Fred & Adele, a book by British author and historian Kathleen Riley, who is also a script and story consultant.
