Chandigarh, Jan. 29 -- BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Wednesday termed the AAP government's Mukh Mantri Sehat Scheme, providing Rs.10 lakh health cover per family per annum, 'misleading, impractical and entirely publicity-driven'. Addressing a press conference here, Chugh said that the biggest and most fundamental failure of the scheme is its rigid package capping, questioning the funding for the scheme given the state's "poor financial health" and "massive outstanding debt". "The biggest lie of this scheme is the promise of Rs.10 lakh health security. The reality is that the scheme provides actual insurance of only Rs.1 lakh per family, while the remaining Rs.9 lakh is left to the mercy of a debt-ridden Punjab government," Chugh said....
