Rohtak, June 20 -- Rohtak police have busted an inter-state cyber fraud racket and arrested 12 accused allegedly involved in online scams across states. The police have also claimed to have recovered mobile phones, laptops, SIM cards, bank account documents and other digital evidence used in carrying out cyber frauds. Preliminary investigations revealed that the gang was involved in various cyber fraud activities, including online investment and financial scams. Rohtak SP Gaurav Rajpurohit said the accused were operating through a sophisticated network that used RAT malware, cloned WhatsApp accounts, counterfeit banking websites and fake call centres to dupe unsuspecting victims of lakhs of rupees.htc...
