Retired Arijit says more songs on the way, hints at fallout with composers
India, Feb. 26 -- Nearly a month after announcing retirement from playback singing, Arijit Singh (38) shared an emotional message for his fans on Tuesday evening on X.
"Thank you so much for your kindness in this ruthless world. Although I've stopped taking new assignments, the list of pending songs is not less... There are so many unfinished songs, they will keep releasing... Maybe through this whole year. Maybe it will touch next year, too," a part of his note read.
A fan shared a "humble request" in the comments: "You should not stop new assignments from (composers) Pritam, Mithoon, AR Rahman."
Arijit in his reply seemed to imply that future collabs may be out of the question, writing, "Some people compose for themselves, not for anyone!" htc...
