Rachit Singh says being good at acting is more important than having PR

achit Singh, who was recently seen in Baby Do Die Do, believes PR and marketing played an important role in helping the Nachiket Samant directorial reach a wider audience. The actor, who played Huma Qureshi's love interest in the film, says that ensuring a film reaches audiences is as important as making it, but PR is not the only thing that matters.
"You need to know how to act. Everything comes after that. Besides this, you need to work hard, be a nice person and then eventually also have a PR so that you reach people," says Singh, who made his acting debut with Thamma (2025) and has a decade-long experience as an acting coach.
The 39-year-old's comments come at a time when the debate around organic promotion versus PR amplification has gained prominence, with visibility becoming increasingly important to how films and celebrities reach audiences.
He adds that a PR machinery can help a good actor reach a wider audience. "Agar Baby Do Die Do bahut logon tak pahunchi hi nahin toh marketing toh karni padegi na. Ismein koi galat baat thodi hai, ismein koi jhoot thodi hai," he says, adding, "Humne ek film banayi jo kisi state mein nahin pahunchi, toh humara kaam hai ki hum usko waha pahunchayein."
The actor adds, "Agar aapne product banaya aur woh duniya tak pahunch hi nahin raha to kya fayeda? Of course, aapke hard work se aap pahunch sakte ho, but shayad PR se aap thoda aur pahunch sakte ho."...
