Ludhiana, May 23 -- The body of Punjabi singer Inder Kaur, alias Yashinder Kaur, recovered from Sirhind Canal on May 19, bore two bullet injuries, the postmortem examination has revealed. According to the autopsy report, one bullet was found lodged in the singer's forehead while another pierced her chest, confirming that she was shot before her body was dumped in the canal near Neelon Bridge near Samrala. The postmortem examination was conducted at the Ludhiana civil hospital by a board of doctors, including forensic experts Dr Karan, Dr Vishal Chopra and Dr Mandeep. Following the autopsy, the singer was cremated in Ludhiana amid emotional scenes. The 29-year-old's body was recovered six days after she disappeared on May 13 while out buying groceries near her Jamalpur residence.Prime accused Sukhwinder Singh, alias Sukhi Brar, a Canada-based Moga native, along with his father, Pritam Singh, and their two aides, have been booked for the murder. Police have already arrested Pritam and the other two accused in the case. They have also recovered two weapons, a .30-bore and a .45-bore pistol, used in the crime, besides the victim's car. According to police probe, Sukhwinder wanted to forcibly marry the singer, but she refused after learning that he was already married with children.
