Karnal, Aug. 8 -- International Anti-Khalistani Terrorist Front leader Gursimran Singh Mand was allegedly assaulted by a group of men outside Panjokhra Sahib Gurdwara in Ambala on Friday. He along with his son and at least two local cops were injured during the incident. Mand was here to pay obeisance at the gurdwara, but was reportedly not allowed by the group. Speaking to the media at the district civil hospital, Mand said, "I along with my son, were sitting in my car, when these people started gathering and attacked us. My son and I were injured. Three policemen who tried to save me were also attacked. I am grateful to the cops." "They attacked me because I speak in favour of the prime minister, and against Khalistan. They asked me to raise slogans against the prime minister, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and get Amritpal Singh released from jail," he added.
