Producer and former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani dies at 76

eteran producer and former Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani died at the age of 76. According to reports, he had been unwell for some time and breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital. His funeral was held in Mumbai on Thursday. He is survived by his wife, Nita Nihalani, and their three sons, including film producers Vishal and Chirag Nihalani. Known for backing several Hindi film hits, including Shola Aur Shabnam (1992), Aankhen (1993) and Ilzaam, Nihalani is also credited with launching actor Govinda in Bollywood. timeout...
