ROHTAK, Sept. 21 -- The Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau have arrested a criminal investigation department (CID) inspector for allegedly accepting a Rs.5 lakh bribe from a complainant in return for allowing mining vehicles to move between Yamunanagar and Karnal without interference. The accused has been identified as Rajesh Kumar posted with the CID and was on duty in Yamunanagar. After receiving the complaint, the ACB team led by inspector Harjinder Singh in-charge of the Kurukshetra unit laid the trap at Umri Chowk, where the inspector was allegedly caught while accepting Rs.5 lakh from the complainant. He was arrested and booked under Sections 7 and 7A of the Prevention of Corruption Act and Section 308 (2) (extortion) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)....
