CHENNAI, May 17 -- The two factions in the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) have submitted their petitions and they are under scrutiny, Tamil Nadu Assembly speaker JCD Prabhakar said on Saturday. "An appropriate decision will be taken at the appropriate time," he said. Soon after the results were declared on May 4, the AIADMK MLAs stand divided between party general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami and the C Ve Shanmugam-SP Velumani duo. Meanwhile, a scuffle between supporters of the two groups broke out on Saturday in Villupuram district, Shanmugam's home turf. At Villupuram, there was commotion in front of the AIADMK party office when the newly appointed district secretary R Pasupathy attempted to enter the office. Shanmugam's supporters who gathered in large numbers protested leading to jostling between the two groups. Police had to intervene and prevented both factions from entering the office and asked them to disperse.htc...
