Chandigarh, Oct. 4 -- Platforms 1 and 2 at railway station will remain closed from October 4 to 15 due to redevelopment work due to which several trains, including Vande Bharat and Shatabdi Express services, will operate from other platforms. Passengers have been advised to check platform information on display boards and through announcements at the station before boarding their trains. With platforms 1 and 2 closed, trains will operate from platforms 3, 4, 5 and 6. The closure is part of phased redevelopment work at the station. Platforms 5 and 6 were closed from September 10 to 21, followed by platforms 3 and 4 from September 22 to October 3. From October 4 to 15, the work to erect balance girders and remove girders of the existing foot overbridge will be undertaken. According to the railway, 12 trains will remain cancelled during different periods between September 10 and October 15. A total of 442 trips of these trains will be affected.
