Mohali, Oct. 25 -- A pillion rider died after a motorcycle was hit by a speeding car in New Chandigarh on Friday. Eyewitnesses said the car was moving at high speed and did not stop after the collision. One person died on the spot, while the rider was taken to Phase 6 civil hospital and is receiving treatment. Assistant sub-inspector Dilbagh Singh said the police are investigating the case and recording statements from the injured rider once doctors consider him fit.
