Karnal, Aug. 26 -- A team of the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested a patwari and his assistant posted in Panipat, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000 amid their ongoing strike. The ACB said they have arrested Patwari Subhash and his assistant Usman, both locals of Haryana. According to the information, Panipat unit incharge inspector Satpal Singh said, the patwari had demanded Rs.35,000 for a mutation work. "After negotiating, both of them made a deal with the complainant for Rs.20,000. After the deal was finalised, the complainant approached the ACB about the matter and the bribery deal was confirmed," the inspector said. The ACB team investigated the matter and arrested the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe. A case was registered against him at the ACB police station in Karnal.htc...
