Patiala rail track blast: RPG, IED seized, probe reveals Malaysia connection
Patiala, April 30 -- The probe into the Patiala freight corridor blast has led to the seizure of a large cache of munitions and explosives, including grenades, from a village in Taran Taran, and the uncovering of a "deep-rooted terror conspiracy" involving Pakistan-backed ISI and the pro-Khalistan terrorists, Punjab Police said on Wednesday.
Investigations revealed that the suspected bomber was in contact with a Malaysia-based handler Jujhar Singh, through an encrypted messaging app. A rocket propelled grenade, a metallic IED weighing 2.2 kg along with three detonators, 1.45 kg RDX and pistols were seized during a raid at Panjwar Khurd village in Tarn Taran.
