Panchkula, July 14 -- A 36-year-old man has been arrested for possessing an illegal country-made pistol in Pinjore, police said on Monday. The accused has been identified as Sahil Sharma, a resident of Naggal village in Chandimandir. The accused was arrested near the HMT gate after the police got a tip-off on July 11, officials said. During the search, police found a country-made pistol and a live 7.65 mm cartridge from his possession. As the accused failed to produce any valid licence, the weapon and ammunition were seized. A case has been registered at Pinjore police station under Section 25(1-B)(a) of the Arms Act and further investigation is underway. htc...
