ROHTAK, June 4 -- Two teenage boys drowned in the Loharu Canal in Charkhi Dadri while taking a bath, the police said on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Sameer Kadyan, 17, a resident of Dadri city, and Kartik, 16, a resident of Jharna Ghat of Charkhi Dadri. The police said that during the preliminary investigation it was found that the victims were bathing in the Loharu Canal with friends when they were swept away by a strong current and could not escape. A police team reached the spot and a search operation was launched with the help of the NDRF. Bodies of both teenagers were recovered and they were sent to the Civil Hospital in Dadri for the postmortem examination. Dadri Sadar police station SHO Sunil Kumar said both teenagers had gone to the canal with their friends to take bath. Police and NDRF teams launched a search operation and recovered the body of Sameer Kadyan late on Tuesday night while Kartik's body was recovered from the canal during the search operation resumed on Wednesday morning. htc...
