Odisha girl flags discrepancies in paper evaluation
Bhubaneswar, June 1 -- Amid growing criticism of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) over alleged errors in answer-sheet evaluation and discrepancies in board results, a Class 12 student from Mayurbhanjdistrict has alleged serious irregularities in the checking ofher examination papers, claiming that pages of her Physics answer sheet were missing and several responses remained unchecked.
Ankita Acharya, a Class 12 student of the state-run Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya in Ranibhol, alleged anomalies became visible after she obtained scanned copies of her answer sheets, particularly in Physics and Mathematics.
"In the Physics paper, the serial numbers appeared irregular. After page 15, pages 16 and 17 were missing completely. Some pages were duplicates," she alleged.
While CBSE did not respond to HT's specific queries regarding the allegations, an official requesting anonymity said, "She should apply for raising objections against the questions and verification of her marks in the concerned subjects, when the re-evaluation portal goes live on June 1."HTC...
