India, May 3 -- Actor Varun Dhawan's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai had just moved back to its original June 5 slot after Yash-starrer Toxic shifted its release date. But now, the film has a fresh box-office challenger. Actor Ram Charan's Peddi is set to release on June 4, just a day before Varun's film. The latest shift comes after months of release-date changes involving Peddi, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Toxic. Varun's film was originally set for June 5, before being advanced to May 22 when Toxic occupied the June 4 slot. After Toxic moved, Varun's team returned to the original date. Peddi, too, has seen multiple changes. Initially slated for March 27, the film was later moved to April 30, then June 25, before Ram Charan announced June 4 as its new date on social media. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and is expected to release in dubbed versions, including Hindi. We reached out to the teams of Varun and his father, director David Dhawan, who told us that they could not make any comments on the issue. htc...
