India, June 19 -- M usic composer Pritam is not quitting the music industry despite speculation triggered by a cryptic social media post he shared on his birthday,June 14. In the post, the composer spoke about "living life differently" and embarking on "new journeys", leading many fans to wonder if he was stepping away from music, especially after singer-composer Arijit Singh recently announced his retirement from playback singing. However, a source close to Pritam clarifies, "Pritam is not leaving the music industry. He will, of course, continue to work. Through his post, he only highlighted that he has other areas of interest he wants to prioritise at the moment. It doesn't mean he is exiting the music industry." Thanking fans for their birthday wishes, Pritam had written, "Today, I have decided to gift myself a few years to live life differently. To catch up on what I've missed." He added, "Time to set off on new journeys, which have been kept on the back burner for long. Mainstream is a great ride. But I've always been more curious about the roads unexplored."
