MRA Public School holds special assembly for workers
Panchkula, May 12 -- A meaningful and well-organised special assembly on the occasion of Labour Day was conducted by Class 4A in collaboration with Yajur House at Moti Ram Arya Modern Public School, Panchkula. The assembly was based on the theme "Dignity of Labour", aiming to create awareness about the importance of labour, appreciate the contribution of workers in our daily lives, and inspire students to respect every form of work and worker. The assembly began on a serene note with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra. The programme continued with the school pledge and concluded formally with the National Anthem, reflecting discipline and unity among the students.
The cultural segment commenced with an English speech by Priyank, who spoke confidently about the dignity and value of labour. This was followed by a heartfelt Hindi kavita presented by the girls, appreciating the relentless efforts of workers. Lakshay further enriched the assembly with a thoughtful Hindi speech emphasising respect for all professions.
A special presentation on "Community Helpers" highlighted the indispensable roles played by various workers such as doctors, police personnel, sanitation staff, and labourers. The performances were further enlivened by energetic dance presentations by the boys and the dance department, along with a melodious song performance by Class 5 students of Yajur House, adding vibrancy and emotion to the programme. The pledge, led by Vyom, reinforced the values of gratitude, empathy, and respect for labour. Principal Ritu Mago guided the students with a powerful message that no work in the world is inferior or shameful....
