Mohali, July 12 -- Anandpur Sahib MP Malvinder Singh Kang on Saturday inaugurated development works completed in villages and urban areas of the Mohali assembly constituency under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS). Accompanied by Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh, the MP inaugurated an open gym worth Rs.3 lakh at Lakhnour (Ward 36), a water tanker worth Rs.3 lakh in Sector 69 (Ward 35), 13 solar lights worth Rs.1.5 lakh in Patton village, RCC benches worth Rs.2 lakh in Kurda village and 17 solar lights worth Rs.2 lakh inLandran. Kang appealed to residents to cooperate with election officials during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls so that all eligible voters are included and incorrect entries are removed. MLA Kulwant Singh said a pruning machine would soon be brought to Mohali to strengthen sanitation work and that water tankers had been provided to teams maintaining plantations.
