Mount Carmel School hosts cleanliness awareness session
Chandigarh, Sept. 1 -- Under the aegis of the founders and directors, Earnest Charles J Samuel and Annie Charles Samuel, along with the principal, Parveena John Singh, Mount Carmel School organised the 'Swachhta Ki Kaaryashala' workshop with the aim of creating awareness among students about cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation and responsible citizenship.
The programme was attended by Dr. Inderdeep Kaur, medical officer of health for the Municipal Corporation, as the chief guest. The guests of honour, Anshu Chandana, coordinator, Municipal Corporation and Ashish Malik, sanitary inspector, Municipal Corporation , also attended.
They encouraged students to adopt healthy and responsible practices and to become ambassadors of cleanliness in their homes and communities. They also initiated a tree plantation drive, reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility and the importance of nurturing and protecting nature.
Following this, an expert talk was held with Dr. Inderdeep Kaur
Speaking on the occasion, principal Parveena John Singh emphasised that cleanliness begins with individual responsibility and becomes meaningful when it is transformed into a collective habit.
She further highlighted that the initiative was organised in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
