Ludhiana, Sept. 10 -- Under the aegis of the founders and directors, Earnest Charles J Samuel and Annie Charles Samuel, along with the principal Parveena John Singh, Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh celebrated Teachers' Day 2026 on September 3 and 5. On September 3, the cabinet members organised a student-led celebration on the school premises to express their love and appreciation for their teachers. The programme featured a melodious choir performance, an engaging nukkad natak, energetic dance performances and fun-filled games including ping pong ball, dumb charades, join the fingertip and tambola. The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony. The principal, Parveena John Singh appreciated the cabinet members for their creativity, enthusiasm and thoughtful efforts in making the occasion memorable for the teachers. The celebrations continued on September 5 at Park Plaza, Sector 43, Chandigarh, where the teaching fraternity came together for a grand Teachers' Day celebration based on the theme 'I - The Unique Creation of God.' The evening featured entertaining games, cultural and dance performances, and activities that celebrated the individuality and talents of the teachers. A farewell tribute was presented for retiring teachers Beena Joseph and Jaswinder Kaur.
