Dharamshala, Oct. 1 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) centre in Shimla announced on Wednesday that conditions are likely to become favourable for the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from the state over the next two to three days. This year, the monsoon arrived in parts of Himachal Pradesh on June 30, covering the entire state by July 1. IMD has predicted dry weather to prevail across the hill state until October 4, with light showers expected on October 5 and 6 at isolated places in the plains and middle hills. No significant change is anticipated in maximum and minimum temperatures over the next four to five days. During the past 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall was recorded at isolated locations across the state. As many as 45 roads remained blocked across the state on Wednesday.
