Chandigarh, Aug. 29 -- The maximum temperature in the city rose to 36.3degC on Friday, 2.6 degrees above normal, as sunny conditions and high humidity continued to trouble residents. The India Meteorological Department said heavy rain is unlikely in the city till the end of August. Friday's maximum was up from 35.9degC on Thursday and was the second-highest recorded this month, after 36.4degC on August 24.
