Man gets new lease of life after liver transplant
Chandigarh, Oct. 7 -- The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) conducted a deceased-donor liver transplant, providing a new lease of life to Rakesh, a Himachal resident.
The transplant was carried out through the coordinated efforts of the department of general surgery and department of hepatology, PGIMER, under the care and guidance of Dr L Kaman, Dr Sunil Taneja and Dr Swapnesh Sahu along with a multidisciplinary transplant team. Dr L Kaman said, "Rakesh's successful recovery and discharge after liver transplantation is a matter of great satisfaction for the entire transplant team.
