Chandigarh, Aug. 13 -- A man was attacked with axes and sticks by six men in Sector 25 on Wednesday afternoon. The accused arrived in a Honda City car and an Activa to attack him. The victim suffered injuries to both his legs and head. Police said that victim Shakib, 29, had a rivalry with the other group over his alleged involvement in the murder case, for which, he encountered an attacked earlier as well. On Wednesday, he came out of his house and was surrounded by the accused before being attacked. Shakib said the rivalry started after a 21-year-old man, Ajay, was killed in Sector 25 in December 2023. Several men were accused for the murder including and Shakib's friends. Ajay's brother Deep was allegedly one of the accused in Wednesday's incident as per the victim. Police have registered a case and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the other accused. A photographer and his helper were allegedly thrashed by a group of people at Sukhna Lake on Tuesday, close to the police post at Sukhna Lake. According to Omvir Singh, of Panchkula, both him and his helper click photographs of people at Sukhna Lake to earn money and around 4.30 pm, on Tuesday, he was called by his helper Surjit that he wasbeing attacked by a group of eight people at Sukhna Lake. Singh was also attacked with a brick and suffered injuries to his face. According to Singh, the dispute allegedly took place over clicking pictures. The accused were known to Singh and had allegedly objected to clicking pictures of a customer, being photographed by him. The victims have filed a complaint to the police, while police said they are investigating the matter and will soon file an FIR in this regard....
