Chandigarh, Oct. 19 -- Stepping up its preparations for the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections in December, the Congress on Monday appointed HS Lucky, president of the ChandigarhPradesh Congress Committee, as chairman of its campaign committee. Party national president Mallikarjun Kharge approved the formation of several keypanels, including a manifestocommittee, a disciplinary action committee and an election management committee. According to a press release issued by All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary (organisation) KC Venugopal, the campaign committee includes all 10 party councillors, five District Congress Committee presidents, chiefs of the party's frontal organisations, and heads of the scheduled caste (SC), other backward classes (OBC) and minority wings, alongside other senior leaders.
