New Delhi, March 8 -- A 26-year-old labourer died while working on a sewer line at a Delhi Jal Board (DJB) worksite in northeast Delhi's Sonia Vihar on Friday, when soil caved in and a heavy stone fell on him in the six-to-eight-foot-deep pit, injuring him fatally, police said on Saturday. The incident comes exactly a month after a 25-year-old man and his motorcycle fell into a DJB pit in west Delhi's Janakpuri, which led to his death, sparking concerns of safety and preventive measures at work sites. The Delhi Police said the victim, Afzal Sabbir, of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, was laying the pipeline with another labourer when the cave-in occurred.htc...
